Chinese blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin, Kangxi (1662-1722), Guanyin is seated, with her left arm resting on her knee and her right hand holding a scroll, height: 8 in., 20.5cm; condition: end of fingers missing to left hand, shallow chips to ends of robes, small chip to headdress, firing fault to left side of body. A similar figure is illustrated in Ayers, John, 'Chinese and Japanese Works of Art in the Collection of her Majesty the Queen', p. 55, pl. 58.

Rare Chinese blanc de chine pot and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), of globular form, with moulded decoration of prunus, the handle with applied moulded flowerheads, the lid moulded with stylised petals, the body with moulded stylised flowers, the base with radiating chrysanthemum petals, height: 5in. 12.5cm.; condition: some sanding. For an illustrated pot without the loop handle see P.J. Donnelly, 'Blanc de Chine: the Porcelain of Tehua in Fukien' (1969), p. 117 and pl. 66A. Donnelly notes that the jar in pl. 66A "has stumpy little handles which look as though they were going to be the foundation for a overhead loop but the potter had second thoughts".

Chinese blanc de chine libation cup, Kangxi (1662-1722), on a moulded foot, with applied branches of flowering prunus and lotus, diameter: 3 1/2in., 9cm; condition: chips to foot, age related wear. Provenance: From the Kemnay House Collection, Aberdeenshire. Probably purchased by Arthur Burnett (1878-1948) 8th Laird of Kemnay and his wife Muriel. Arthur Burnett traded in Jute throughout Asia and drove the first car into Tibet, which was delivered to the Dalai Lama.
