Small Chinese blue and white bowl, Kangxi (1662-17 Ref: TL362
Small Chinese blue and white bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), of soft-paste porcelain and decorated with dragons amongst scrolling lotus. In soft paste porcelain a certain amount of huashi is substituted for kaolin. In spite of the name its distinctive characteristics are its hardness, as well as its lightness and fragility. The French name for this type of of porcelain is pâte tendre. Diameter: 8 cm, condition: There is a small repaired hairline on the inside of the base.

Chinese blue and white stem cup, Kangxi (1662-1722), the body of which is decorated with meandering flowers amongst foliage, the splayed stem, which is solid, is decorated with numerous bands. The inside with a flower and leaves within a double circle. Height: 7 cm, condition: There are repaired frits to the rim of the bowl and a small frit of approximately 1 mm on the ridge of the stem.
