Click on the icon of the Castel Durante Crespina c1560, painted by Georgio Picci with Susannah and the Elders, the reverse inscribed f hnechi f Susanna, diameter: 24.5cm A group of Castel Durante wares have been identified as the work of this artist. The composition of this dish is typical of his style and also the three crosses in the foreground are seen as being a hall-mark of his work. Due to recent research it is now thought that Andreas Da Negroponte commissioned work by Georgio Picci and is not as originally thougt the artist.
