Castel Durante Crespina c1560, painted by Georgio Picci with Susannah and the Elders, the reverse inscribed f hnechi f Susanna, diameter: 24.5cm A group of Castel Durante wares have been identified as the work of this artist. The composition of this dish is typical of his style and also the three crosses in the foreground are seen as being a hall-mark of his work. Due to recent research it is now thought that Andreas Da Negroponte commissioned work by Georgio Picci and is not as originally thought the artist.

Italian Savona blue and white amphora and cover, circa 1700 with the arms of the Levantino family, with eagle head handles with the armorial above the label 'Aqua Gallege' and below a moulded mask with a hole for a spigot, decorated with putti and naked ladies in a mythological landscape, the lid with a soldier and lady in a landscape, height: 18 1/2in. 47cm. condition: restored chip to rim of vase and break to base with chips and handle heads neatly restored, cover chip to rim and missing area of glaze to knop restored. Inside the vase there is a label saying 'Bought at Exhibition at San Remo 1873, No. 92'
