Dutch Delft blue and white dish, dated 1722, decorated in the centre with Lazarus being raised from the dead, the cavetto with a floral band, the border with scrolling leaves and putti, with underglaze blue IVH 1722 mark to base, diameter: 10 1/4in. 26cm; condition: two restored chips to rim, two shallow chips and frits to rim. Provenance: with the labels of A. Vecht Amsterdam Collection and Etienne Delaunoy Amsterdam to base. SOLD

Pair of Dutch delft blue and white beaker vases, c. 1700, decorated with branches of flowering prunus, peony and chrysanthemum issuing from rockwork, with 'PK' mark to base (probably belonging to Pieter Gerritsz, Kam, owner in 1700 of 'De Drie Porseleyne Astonnen), height: 13 3/4in., 35cm; condition: one with a piece out of the rim re-stuck and hairline to rim, damage to base and chips and frits to edges, the other with two faint hairlines and fritting to edges. Provenance: with labels of 'Gwen Smith Collection, Leicester' to base. The shape of these vases is probably based upon the Chinese gu-form. SOLD

Dutch Delft blue and white 'month' plate, late 18th century, decorated with a Dutch interior of a family seated around a table, with the inscription 'February' within a cartouche above, with the mark of 'De Porceleyne Byl' (active 1657 - 1803) to reverse, diameter: 8 15/16in., 22.7cm; condition: very shallow chip and fritting to rim. This plate belongs to a series of twelve that shows the passing of the seasons. Various prints depicting the months of the year were used as inspiration for Dutch month dishes, e.g.: by Pieter Brueghel the Elder (circa 1525-1569), David Vinckboons (1576-1632) and Hans Bol (1534-1593). A similar plate can be found in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Collection, Accession number: 1921-3-32. SOLD
