There are examples of this scene on pieces in some museums including the Fitzwilliam Museum The play ‘Polishing the Dust-covered Mirror’ in one scene depicts Lady Yang drowning her disappointment in alcohol when the emperor fails to turn up at the Hundred Flowers Pavilion
