Chinese famille-verte charger, Kangxi (1668-1722), with gently barbed rim, decorated with a central ruyi-head roundel containing a basket of flowers, surrounded by eight variously shaped cartouches containing flowers including peony, orchid, prunus and chrysanthemum issuing from rockwork, against a green stippled ground scattered with stylised lotus heads, the rim with six further cartouches containing fruiting boughs, against various green floral cell grounds with large ruyi heads, the reverse with four peony sprays and an artemisia leaf within concentric circles to the base.
