Chinese blue and white moulded bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), of flaring form with foliate rim, the exterior decorated with three bands of petal-shaped panels containing flowers including chrysanthemum, plum, lotus, anemone, prunus and peony, with perching birds and flying insects overhead, the interior decorated to the central roundel with birds in flight amongst flowering hydrangea and peony issuing from rockwork; the sides with birds in flight and perching upon floral boughs; the interior rim with five lobed floral cartouches against a diaper ground; the base with a lingzhi mark within a double circle.
