Japanese baluster vase and cover, circa 1700 (Genroku period) decorated with a mountainous landscape with tiled rooftops and pagoda amongst chrysanthemums, peonies, below a band of ruyi shapes and peony heads against blue cloud scrolls with phoenix heads and wings appearing below the clouds, the lower band of roundels and diamond containing birds and flower heads against a blue background, height: 22 3/4inch., 58cm, condition: crack to cover with old restoration to the exterior of the cover.
