Pair of Chinese famille verte 'pie-crust rim' meat dishes, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in the centre with two birds in flight amongst large peony heads, and a cricket sitting on curling foliage, the cavettos with a narrow band of ruyi heads in iron red, the rims with four cartouches containing flowers and perching birds against a green stippled ground strewn with magnolia and leaves, all within moulded 'pie-crust' rims, the reverse with four large sprays of peony.
