Pair of Chinese famille rose plates, Qianlong (1735-95), decorated in the centre with cherry blossom, chrysanthemum, peony and maple by a river, above clouds and a multi-coloured crenelated wall encircling a pagoda, tree and flag, the border with four vignettes containing cherry blossom, dianthus and fans on a ground of flowerheads and cloud scrolls, diameter: 9 1/16in., 23cm; condition: one with frits to rim.
